8 useful, EV-specific gifts, sorted by budget, with a quick index by car: Tesla, non-Tesla EVs with a CCS1 port, and any EV. No novelty mugs. Half of these depend on the car's plug or exact model year, so if you're not sure, check it in our NACS Checker first.

Small gifts
Small, useful and hard to get wrong.
For: Any EV
JACO ElitePro Digital Tire Pressure Gauge
Digital tire pressure gauge
Cheapest range win
Useful all year, and most useful in winter, when tires lose about 1 PSI for every 10°F drop.
What it is
0–100 PSI with 0.1 PSI resolution; backlit display; built-in bleed valve; flexible hose with swivel chuck; 2×AAA batteries included (per listing)
Certification
Listing: calibrated to ANSI Grade 2A, accurate to ±0.5 PSI
Why it's here: Tire pressure falls with the temperature, and the fix is to measure cold and top up to the door-jamb figure. A dedicated gauge makes that a one-minute monthly habit. The bleed valve lets you let air out without resetting the reading, which helps after overfilling with an inflator.
For anyone with a charger on the garage wall. Pick the J1772 or Tesla version to match their handle.
What it is
Steel dock that latches the charging handle, plus a J-hook for the cable; screws and wall plugs included (per listing)
Certification
Not applicable (no electrical parts)
Maker's price
$17.99 on Lectron's own store, 2026-10-04
Why it's here: A charging handle left on the garage floor gets stepped on, driven over and filled with grit. A wall dock and hook fix that. The one thing to get right is the plug. Most non-Tesla home chargers have used a J1772 handle, Tesla's Mobile Connector and Wall Connector use a NACS handle, and some newer chargers ship with either, so look at their handle and buy the matching version below.
Before you buy
Check whether their charger uses a J1772 or a NACS handle
Needs screws into a wall or post
Pick the right version
J1772 handle (most non-Tesla home chargers)Listing: compatible with all J1772 connectors.
For snow country. Long enough for the roof of a crossover, with a foam head and an ice scraper.
What it is
18-inch foam head; handle extends from 33 to 52 inches; built-in ice scraper (per listing)
Certification
Not applicable (no electrical parts)
Why it's here: Most popular EVs are crossovers with long, flat roofs and large windshields, which a short brush cannot reach. The listing describes a non-abrasive foam head made to clear paint, glass and trim without scratching, a reach of up to 52 inches, and a scraper built into the other end.
Before you buy
A full-size truck or large SUV roof may still be out of reach
Foam pushes snow; it does not break hard ice (use the scraper)
The gifts an EV owner tends not to buy for themselves.
For: Tesla
Samsung FIT Plus 256GB USB Drive (for Tesla Dashcam and Sentry Mode)
USB-A flash drive
Tesla favorite
Adds hours of Dashcam and Sentry footage to a Tesla's built-in cameras.
What it is
256 GB (model MUF-256AB); USB 3.x Gen 1 Type-A, backward compatible with USB 2.0; read speed up to 400 MB/s per Samsung's 2024 data sheet (the Amazon title still says 300 MB/s)
Certification
Not applicable (USB storage)
Why it's here: Tesla's Dashcam and Sentry Mode record to a USB drive, and Tesla's manual asks for at least 64 GB, USB 2.0 compatibility and a sustained write speed of at least 4 MB/s. It also says footage is overwritten after as little as an hour on a small drive and up to 24 hours on a drive of 1 TB or more, so extra capacity is a real upgrade. Samsung's data sheet confirms the USB 2.0 compatibility; it publishes read speed but not sustained write speed, so have them format the drive in the car and check that the Dashcam and Sentry icons appear.
Before you buy
Samsung does not publish a sustained write figure
Sold by a third-party seller (shipped by Amazon) on the day we checked; Amazon had no featured offer for the 512 GB size
Formatting in the car erases the drive
Recording to USB may not be available on every Tesla, depending on build date
Portable 12-volt jump starter with a built-in air compressor
Most important
The most useful gift in this guide. EVs still have a 12-volt battery that can go flat, and AAA warns against jumping an EV from another EV or a hybrid.
What it is
1,500A peak 12V jump starter; 150 PSI inflator with a preset auto shut-off; 45Wh battery that doubles as a USB power bank; 300-lumen light (per listing)
Certification
Listing states UL 2743 certified (the safety standard for portable power packs)
Maker's price
$99.99 on LOKITHOR's own store, 2026-10-04
Why it's here: An EV with a flat 12-volt battery can be stuck in the driveway with a full traction pack, and AAA warns against jumping it from another EV or a hybrid, so the dependable fix is a self-contained 12V supply. This unit pairs a jump pack with a tire inflator that stops at the pressure you set, which covers the two most common winter problems in one box. Its listing states UL 2743 certification. LOKITHOR's own spec sheet gives an operating range down to -4°F, so on colder nights keep it in the cabin or indoors, not in the frunk or trunk.
Before you buy
Rated to operate down to -4°F; store it somewhere warmer on the coldest nights
Jump points and steps differ by car: follow your owner's manual
LASFIT All-Weather Floor Liners (Tesla Model 3 / Model Y)
Vehicle-specific all-weather TPE floor liners
Verified fit
Only if you know the exact model and year. Each link below goes to the set whose listing names that car.
What it is
Laser-scanned TPE liners with raised edges; full sets include trunk mats (per listing)
Certification
Not applicable (no electrical parts)
Why it's here: Winter boots carry slush and salt straight onto the carpet, and NHTSA recommends swapping to thicker, rubbery mats for the season, provided they are the correct size and fit for your vehicle and properly secured, because a loose mat can interfere with the pedals. That is why this pick is a set of year- and trim-specific liners rather than a universal mat: each link below goes to the set whose listing names that exact car.
Before you buy
Tesla only here; for another EV, buy by exact year and trim from a maker's fit tool
The new-body Model Y set does not fit the Standard trim
Costs more than universal mats
Pick the right version
Model Y 2025–2026 (new body), Premium and PerformanceListing: 2025–2026 Model Y (Juniper) 5-seat; only fits Premium and Performance; not the Model Y Standard.
Model Y 2020–2025 (original body), 5-seatListing: Model Y 5-seat 2020–2025; not the new-body (Juniper) Model Y and not the 2020 original-mount version.
DC fast-charging adapter (Tesla Supercharger to CCS1 car)
UL 2252 certified
For a Ford, GM, Hyundai, Kia, Rivian or other CCS1 driver whose car has Supercharger access. Check their car first.
What it is
Lets a CCS1 EV with Supercharger access charge at a Tesla Supercharger; not for Teslas and not for AC chargers (per listing)
Certification
Listing: certified under UL 2252 by SGS (an NRTL); 500A / 1,000V; interlock
Maker's price
$184.99 on Lectron's own store, 2026-10-04
Why it's here: This is the top pick in our NACS adapter guide, where every adapter has to be certified to UL 2252, the standard for EV adapters. It is only a good gift for someone whose car has a CCS1 port and Supercharger access through its automaker, so check the car in our NACS Checker first. Some automakers give an adapter away or sell an official one, and some warn that third-party adapters can affect warranty coverage; the adapter guide covers both.
Before you buy
Only for CCS1 cars with Supercharger access
Their automaker may already supply an official adapter
For the data-minded home charger. Budget for an electrician if they will not open the panel themselves.
What it is
Whole-home monitor with 16 circuit sensors (50A); needs 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi; clamp-on sensors install inside the electrical panel (per listing)
Certification
Listing: UL Listed
Maker's price
$199.99 on Emporia's own store (16-sensor kit), 2026-10-04
Why it's here: For someone who charges at home, this turns the car into one line on a live energy chart, next to the dryer and the heat pump. It helps with time-of-use scheduling and shows how much spare capacity the panel really has. It is the same unit we recommend in our charger install guide, and its listing states it is UL Listed.
Before you buy
Sensors clip on inside the electrical panel: an electrician job if that is outside their comfort zone
A Level 2 home charger is the most useful EV upgrade there is, but it depends on their panel, their parking and usually an electrician, so it is better as a joint decision than a surprise. Start with our panel calculator and best home EV chargers guide. For winter tires, a tire shop can match the size on the tire label in their driver's door jamb.
What to skip
Uncertified NACS adapters. A DC adapter carries fast-charging current, and our adapter guide only recommends ones certified to UL 2252. A cheaper uncertified adapter is not a bargain gift.
A dash cam for a Tesla. Many Teslas already record through their own cameras to a USB drive. Give the drive instead.
Fit-specific accessories without the exact year and trim. Mats, organizers and covers are cut for one body style. The Model Y got a new body during the 2025 model year and the Model 3 for 2024, and some sets exclude a trim. If you do not know the car, pick something universal.
Novelty charger-shaped mugs, keychains and socks. Fine as stocking stuffers, but they are not what this guide is for.

Frequently asked questions
What is a good gift for an EV owner?
Something useful they are unlikely to buy for themselves. Small gifts: a digital tire gauge, a wall holster for their charging handle, or a foam snow broom. Mid-range: a portable jump starter, or for a Tesla, a large USB drive for Dashcam and Sentry Mode. Bigger gifts: floor liners cut for their exact car, a UL 2252-certified NACS adapter if they drive a CCS1 EV with Supercharger access, or a home energy monitor.
What do you get a Tesla owner?
A large USB drive for the car's built-in Dashcam and Sentry Mode (Tesla's manual asks for at least 64 GB), all-weather floor liners for their exact model and year, or a wall holster for the NACS handle on a Tesla Mobile Connector or Wall Connector. Skip a dash cam: many Teslas already record through their own cameras.
Is a NACS adapter a good gift for a non-Tesla EV?
Only if their car has a CCS1 port and Supercharger access through its automaker, and only if the adapter is certified to UL 2252. Check the car in our NACS Checker first, and find out whether their automaker already supplies an official adapter.
Is a jump starter a good gift for an electric car owner?
Yes. EVs still have a small 12-volt battery that can go flat and stop the car from waking up. Tesla's manuals describe reviving it with a portable jump starter, and AAA warns against jumping an EV from another EV or a hybrid, so a self-contained jump pack is the dependable backup.
How do I buy floor mats for someone else's EV?
Find the exact model year and trim first. The Model Y got a new body during the 2025 model year and the Model 3 for 2024, and the new-body Model Y set we list does not fit the Standard trim. NHTSA advises using mats of the correct size and fit for the vehicle, secured with the retention clips, because a loose mat can interfere with the pedals.

How we picked
We started from what EV owners actually need rather than what sells as a novelty, then read each Amazon product page ourselves on the verification date. We kept only items that showed a strong rating from a large number of buyers, were sold new and in stock, and matched the brand and model named here. Anything that plugs into a car, an outlet or a charger needed a stated safety certification, and the only adapter is the UL 2252-certified top pick from our adapter guide. Fit-specific items are listed only for the model years their listings name. We have not tested these products ourselves; specs come from listings and maker documents. We don't show star ratings or live Amazon prices.
Prices shown are the maker's own store price on the date given, with its source; we never show Amazon prices, which change constantly and which Amazon's Associates terms do not let us quote. A product with no maker price on file shows none. Click through for the current price.
