The Macan 4S, $7,100 cheaper, also lists a tenth-quicker 0-60 (3.9 seconds against 4.0). Porsche's 800-volt system charges from 10 to 80% in 21 minutes at up to 270 kW; Maserati quotes about 29 minutes from 20 to 80% at up to 150 kW on a 400-volt system. The Grecale's case is standard 542-hp all-wheel drive at a single price, a little more cargo space (18.9 against 17 cubic feet) and the Maserati name itself. Buy the Macan for range, charging and value; buy the Grecale if you want the Maserati.
Price and lineup
Maserati's US configurator lists the 2027 Grecale Folgore at $97,000, plus a $1,995 destination charge, in a single version with 542 hp and all-wheel drive. Porsche's 2026 Macan EV lineup starts with the rear-drive Macan Electric ($80,300) and adds all-wheel drive with the Macan 4 ($84,000), 4S ($89,900), GTS ($105,300) and Turbo ($112,700). So the Grecale sits between the Macan 4S and the GTS on price: $7,100 above the 4S and $8,300 below the GTS. Porsche doesn't publish its destination fee on its model pages, so compare out-the-door quotes.
Range, performance and charging
EPA's 2026 ratings put the Grecale at 268 miles on 19- or 20-inch wheels and 239 on 21-inch wheels; Maserati says 2027 homologation is ongoing, so we mark those as estimates. Every Macan EV is EPA-rated between 290 miles (4S) and 324 (Macan 4, depending on configuration), with the rear-drive Macan Electric at 309. On acceleration the Grecale's 4.0 seconds to 60 mph beats the Macan Electric (5.4) and Macan 4 (4.9), while the 4S (3.9), GTS (3.6) and Turbo (3.1) are quicker. Charging is the clearest gap: the Macan's 800-volt system takes 21 minutes from 10 to 80% at up to 270 kW in our data, while Maserati quotes about 29 minutes from 20 to 80% at up to 150 kW on a 400-volt system. That's a different window, so the table shows 'Not published' for the Grecale.
Ports, space and ownership
The Macan EV has a CCS1 port, and Porsche includes its NACS DC adapter with 2026 Macan Electric models for Supercharger access. The Maserati US pages we've read don't state the Grecale Folgore's charge-port type, so confirm which networks it can use before you buy. Maserati lists 18.9 cubic feet of cargo space for the Grecale Folgore; our Macan rows list 17.
